To spot a truck.
"Me and my mates went to a construction site, for our annual "truckspotting" weekend."
"Wow I spotted this amazing truck"
Explanation: "truckspotting" can be done anywhere, on every piece of machinery that is able to move around.

Is what I told my friends as a joke, knowing there was some truth in it. Since 2023 I have been working on an ongoing project “Truckspotting” It started with a desire to feel more at home in the world of masculinity. As a trans masculine person who grew up in a Christian Pentecostal community, where everything except the Christian norm was forbidden. I always felt like an outsider, especially when it came to “masculinity” I observed it as much as I could, but never seemed to be able to grasp it. With many events in my life, art was always my outlet, so this also had to be tackled through art
From giving voices to excavators who could not express themselves because there were expectations of their existence, to capturing this in a video with voice-overs on the digging excavators (Sad Trucks, 2023). To a ceramic playground with a talking claw, titled Clawtastic (2024). Where I wanted to give a voice in a playful way to those who are/were not heard, including myself. I am currently working on making several toy-sized trucks made of stained glass in sculpture form, where beauty can blind you. Where in reality it is a reflection of my past, in the church and it indicates how fragile masculinity in our society really is.
Truckspotting has become a symbol for me, for everything I have experienced, what I am experiencing and what is to come.
